  • History

In 1945, Paul Bair started to restore furniture in his barn. Over the years, he gained a reputation for doing quality work at a fair price. His son, George, helped him part time for years until 1987 when Paul convinced George to join him full time. Thus, Bair & Bair Furniture Refinishing and Repair was born. After a barn fire, Bair & Bair moved to a small rental property in Worcester and then, a few years later, into its current location, the old Skippack Elementary School bus garage. The old garage was completely rebuilt to their specifications into a 4800 square foot shop. In 2004, George, who had no children of his own, was contemplating his retirement, but did not feel that any of his current employees were suitable to run the business in a manner befitting the Bair & Bair name.
